69th National Film Awards: When & Where to watch the live ceremony

The National Film Awards ceremony will be broadcast live on DD National TV channel, starting at 1:30 pm on Tuesday.

New Delhi: The National Film Awards 2023 ceremony will take place on Tuesday at Vigyan Bhavan in Delhi. Several winners, including Alia Bhatt, Kriti Sanon, and Allu Arjun, will attend the event with their family members and friends. The awards will be presented by Honorable President Droupadi Murmu.

Guests at the event

Kriti Sanon, who won the Best Actress award for her film Mimi, arrived in Delhi on Monday. Allu Arjun, who won the Best Actor award for his Telugu film Pushpa: The Rise, was also spotted in the city with his wife Sneha Reddy. He is the first Telugu actor to receive the Best Actor award in the history of National Film Awards.

On Tuesday morning, Alia Bhatt and husband Ranbir Kapoor were seen at Mumbai’s Kalina airport as they flew to Delhi. Alia has also won the Best Actress award, for her film Gangubai Kathiawadi.

Karan Johar, the producer of Shershaah, was also present at the event. He was accompanied by Apoorva Mehta, Dharma Productions CEO, for the occasion. Their production Shershaah, starring Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra, won the Special Jury Award.

Oscar-winning music composer MM Keeravani has also won big as he won the Best Music Direction (Background Music) for RRR. The blockbuster hit has also won the Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment award.

69th National Film Awards Winner List

The 69th National Film Awards were announced on August 24 in New Delhi. The awards ceremony saw a major face-off between regional and Hindi cinema, with 280 feature films in 20 languages being selected.

‘Sardar Udham’ won the Best Picture award, while Pallavi Joshi won the Best Supporting Actress award for ‘The Kashmir Files’ and Pankaj Tripathi won the Best Supporting Actor award for ‘Mimi’. ‘Rocketry:

The Nambi Effect’ won the Best Feature Film award, and Allu Arjun won the Best Actor award for ‘Pushpa: The Rise’.

Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon both won the Best Actress award, for ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ and ‘Mimi’ respectively. ‘

RRR’ won the Best Popular Film providing wholesome entertainment award, as well as awards for Best Choreography, Best Music Direction (Background Music), and Best Special Effects.

‘The Kashmir Files’ won the Nargis Dutt Award for Best Feature Film on National Integration, while ‘Nayattu’ won the Best Screenplay (Original) award and ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ won the Best Screenplay (Adapted) award.

King Soloman won the Best Action Direction Award (stunt choreography) for ‘RRR’, and Chandrabose won the Best Lyrics award for ‘Dham Dham Dham’ (Konda Polam).

‘Shershaah’ won the Special Jury Award, while ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ won awards for Best Makeup Artist and Best Editing. Vishnu Mohan won the Indira Gandhi Award for Best Debut Film of a Director for ‘Meppadiyan’ (Malayalam), while ‘Anunaad’-The Resonance (Assamese) won the Best Film on Social Issues award and ‘Aavasavyuham’ (Malayalam) won the Best Film on Environment Conservation/Preservation award.

‘Gandhi and Co’ (Gujarati) won the Best Children’s Film award, Nikhil Mahajan won the Best Direction award for ‘Godavari’ (The Holy Water), and Bhavin Rabari won the Best Child Artist award for ‘Last Film Show’ (Chhello Show) (Gujarati).

Kaala Bhairava won the Best Male Playback Singer (Male) award for ‘Komuram Bheemudo’ (RRR), while Shreya Ghoshal won the Best Female Playback Singer (Female) award for ‘Iravin Nizhal’ (Shadow of the Night).
