“Aag ki chaadar odhay hue…”: Javed Akhtar’s emotional note after attending Satish Kaushik’s funeral

New Delhi: Satish Kaushik was laid to rest on Thursday evening in Mumbai after he died of cardiac arrest in Delhi. The senior actor was in Delhi after attending Javed Akhtar’s Holi party.

Satish Kaushik was having difficulty in breathing after which he was rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead on arrival. The post-mortem report of Satish Kaushik revealed that he died due to a cardiac attack.

Several Bollywood stars reached his residence to offer their condolence.

Actors including Javed Akhtar, Anupam Kher, Abhishek Bachchan, Salman Khan, Shilpa Shetty, Ranbir Kapoor, Sham Kaushal, Salman Khan, and Arjun Kapoor were among the celebs who visited Kaushik’s Mumbai residence to pay their last respects.

After attending the funeral of Satish Kaushik, veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar took to Twitter to post an emotional note.

Here is what he wrote:

A day before his sudden death, the actor had shared glimpses from his holi party thrown by Akhtar and his actor-wife Shabana Azmi at their Mumbai residence.

Satish Kaushik is survived by his wife Shahi Kaushik and his 10-year-old daughter Vanshika.

The actor was born on April 13, 1956.

Kaushik was an alumnus of the National School of Drama and Film and Television Institute of India.

He married Shashi Kaushik in 1985.
