Aamir Khan’s team breaks silence on actor’s AI-generated fake viral video, says, “Reported the matter”

Following the debacle of his latest release Lal Singh Chaddha, Aamir Khan is now looking forward to bouncing back in the industry.

New Delhi: Veteran Bollywood mega-star Aamir Khan recently landed in trouble after a cook-up video featuring him promoting the agenda of a prominent political party went viral on social media.

In the footage, the Dangal actor was seen taking the side of the INC while taking a dig at the current ruling party BJP for failing to provide 15 lakh rupees in the bank accounts of the countrymen.

However, his video was later found to be an AI-generated deep fake that was created by using the actor’s decade-old clip from his talk show Satyamev Jayate.

Aamir’s Team Clears the Air

Dismissing all the gossip & speculations around the viral video, Aamir Khan’s team soon cleared the air with an official statement in which they informed that the 60-year-old has taken legal action against the unidentified person for creating his deceiving clip.

In the same statement, Khan’s team further asserted that the Dhoom 3 actor has never promoted any political side throughout his 35-year-long acting career in the movie industry.

“Aamir has dedicated his efforts to raising public awareness through campaigns for the Election Commission for many past elections. We are alarmed now to see a recent viral video alleging Mr Khan is promoting a particular party. He would like to clarify this is a fake and totally untrue video.” the actor’s spokesperson further clarified on his behalf.

What’s Next For Aamir Khan?

Meanwhile, following the debacle of his latest release Lal Singh Chaddha, Aamir Khan is now looking forward to bouncing back in the industry and has several ambitious projects lined up in his pipeline.

The actor is currently working on the Darsheel Safary and Genelia Deshmukh’s starrer’s upcoming movie Sitaree Zameen Par which is likely to hit the big screens on Christmas 2024.

He is also producing Rajkumar Santoshi’s directorial flicker Lahore 1947 which boasts a stellar cast of Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta, and Shabana Azmi in lead roles. The movie’s shooting kick-started earlier in February 2024 and it is expected to arrive in theaters in 2025.
