AAP compares Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan dialogue with Arvind Kejriwal’s old speech, fans say ‘Chal nikal’

While Kejriwal’s speech did have some similarities with Shah Rukh’s words in Jawan, fans were left annoyed by this unnecessary comparison of their superstar’s dialogue with a politician’s speech.

New Delhi:  Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan is finally in the theatres and the whole nation is talking about the same. On its first day itself, the movie stormed the BO and made history by becoming the biggest Bollywood opener of all time.

Amid fans hailing Jawan as one of the most politically sound movies the industry has ever produced, the Aam Aadmi Party has linked one of its dialogues with Delhi’s CM and its Supremo Arvind Kejriwal’s speech. This politicization of SRK’s Jawan by the party hasn’t gone well with King Khan’s fans who are now bashing it for the same.

The Dialogue

During Jawan’s climax, Shah Rukh Khan delivers a monologue in which he asks the masses to choose their leader on the basis of development made by them.

Now, trying to relate the same dialogue with one of the speeches given by Arvind Kejriwal, the political party on Friday dropped a tweet claiming that what Shah Rukh has said in Jawan is something Kejriwal has been saying for years.\

The tweet read, “What Arvind Kejriwal has been saying for years has been repeated by Shah Rukh Khan too in his movie Jawan. Jawan’s dialogue: Instead of voting on the basis of fear, money, religion and cast ask these question from anyone who comes to you and ask you to vote for them”

  • What will you do for me in the next 5 years?
  • If someone in my family fell sick what would you do for his treatment?
  • What will you do to get me an employment?
  • What will you do for the country’s development?

Now listen to Arvind Kejriwal’s speech:

While Kejriwal’s speech did have some similarities with Shah Rukh’s words in Jawan, fans were left annoyed by this unnecessary comparison of their superstar’s dialogue with a politician’s speech.

Criticizing the same, one fan wrote,” Jawan film is for entertainment purpose.!!Don’t drag SRK into your so-called political agenda.!!.We as SRKians and cinema lovers don’t want any controversy”

Another said, “If you think this movie is so good Arvind Kejriwal, why don’t you suggest that Jawan be released on YouTube just as you had for TheKashmirFiles, but will you?

Wrote a third user, “So, all that Arvind Kejriwal said so far was nothing but film dialogues. Yeah, it resembled the governance he delivered.”

Here are some more reactions:
