New Delhi: Actress Sharmin Segal has been facing trolling for her acting in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi. In addition to the trolls, the actress gained hatred for her controversial statement against her co-stars Aditi Rao Hydari and Sanjeeda Shaikh while promoting her uncle’s web series.
Amidst this, Sharmin’s old video has now started going viral on social media. In the video, the Malaal actress is seen talking about her time on the set of Bhansali’s Devdas. In the same clip, She can be heard recalling the time when she wanted to sit on Aishwarya Rai’s lap but at the same time refused to sit on Shah Rukh’s lap.
The actress said at the age of 4 years, she was in Devdas movie sets. She told how she used to explore the sets and wanted to sit on Aishwarya’s lap. “I want to sit on Aishwarya’s lap, mama, mama, please, please, please, I would request. I don’t want to sit on Shah Rukh’s lap, I only want to sit on Aishwarya’s lap,” Sharmin said further.

As soon as the video was shared on social media, netizens started trolling Sharmin again. While some criticized the way she talks, others said that she is disrespecting the superstars by not appropriately addressing their names.
A user wrote, “I’d be pissed if I were at work and also had to babysit my boss’s needy and spoiled niece/nephew. So unprofessional of SLB!” A second one said, “Her diction is so harsh. The way she speaks seems so unpolished for someone who has all the resources available to her.
“Why can’t she use proper terms when talking about Aishwarya? Aishwarya isn’t her friend,” a third one commented. To which a user replied saying, “Was thinking the same . They both are much more senior than her. Even some of their peers don’t take their names in such a blase manner. And look at this entitled nepotism baby.”
