New Delhi: Adipurush, one of the biggest magnum opus of 2023, is likely to witness ‘Tsunami of earnings’ with opening day collection expected to cross a whopping figure of Rs 70-80 crore.
Om Raut’s directorial Adipurush today opened in theatres in India & worldwide on record number of screens and has proved to be a roaring success on Day 1 itself.
The onscreen adaption of the Hindu epic Ramayana is having a roaring run at the Box office with most movie-goers showering praise on the film.
Though, some viewers are not impressed with the VFX effects & projection of Hindu gods and also receiving backlash on this front for sometime now. But, the common opinion that emerges on Day 1 is that Prabhas has excelled in his role and this would be rightly his another mega blockbuster.
Box Office collection on Day 1
Naysayers may dub the excitement of Adipurush fans as overhype but the numbers show that the movie has lived up to expectation. The movie saw record bookings in advance tickets and is expected to record monstrous opening on Day 1.
According to leading film trade experts & film exhibitors, the movie may fetch anywhere between Rs 70 – Rs 80 crore as Day 1 earnings.
If it draws such moey, it would become the highest opener film of 2023. SRK’s blockbuster Pathaan minted minted Rs 57 crore on Day 1.
Producer and film business expert Girish Johar told a news daily anticipated the Day 1 earnings at anywhere close to Rs 60 crore.
He further saw the earnings growing at Rs 70 crore & more. He said that overall earnings of the movie could stand at Rs 150- Rs 170 worldwide for the weekend.
