New Delhi: Dialogue writer of one of the most controversial movies of the year ‘Adipurush’ has finally apologized for hurting public sentiments today.
Apologizing for hurting public sentiments, Adipurush’s dialogue writer Manoj Muntashir took to his Instagram handle and penned down an unconditional apology in which he accepted hurting people’s emotions by Adipurush’s dialogues and felt sorry for the same.
In his heartfelt apologetic post, Manoj accepted that his movie Adipurush has hurt people’s religious beliefs and quoted “I accept people’s emotions have been hurt by Adipurush. With folded hands, I extend my unconditional apologies.
He further wrote, “May Prabhu Bajrang Bali keep us united and grant us strength to save our sacred Sanatan and our great nation.”
For the unversed, Manoj’s objectionable dialogues from Adipurush attracted harsh criticism from the public and critics who bashed the dialogue writer for making a mockery of the holy Ramayana.
Adipurush and controversies
From the very first day of its release, Adipurush made headlines for all the wrong reasons. The movie faced brutal criticism and trolling from critics, the masses, and celebrities who all had their fair share in bashing Om Raut’s directorial for its pathetic VFX, average acting, and most importantly its cheap dialogues like “Jalegi tere Baap ki”, “Teri Bua ka bagicha” and “Chal Nikal.”
The reaction of massive public outrage soon became visible in Adipurush’s box office performance as well when the movie’s collection started falling drastically even after having a very successful opening in its first extended weekend.
Following Adipurush’s dropping Box office collections and heavy criticism all over the internet, moviemakers tried to save their face by revising the movie’s dialogues and even went to the extent of lowering the price of its tickets.
However, none of that helped in halting the movie’s free fall at the box office as its collections only shrunk more and more with each passing day and the movie crashed down completely by the beginning of the second week of its theatrical run.
