New Delhi: After Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, now Swara Bhaskar has received an anonymous letter via speed post at her residence in Mumbai, wherein she has been threatened with death.
This letter was sent to the actress’s residence in Versova, Maharashtra.
According to news agency PTI, after getting the formal complaint from the latter, Mumbai Police has started an investigation into the matter.
An official told that Swara contacted Versova police station and lodged a complaint against unknown people after receiving the letter on Wednesday.
About the letter
The life-threatening letter is written in Hindi, wherein the actress is warned against insulting Savarkar. The letter received to the actor was full of abuses.
In the end, the letter was signed as Is Desh Ke Naujawan (the youth of this country). The letter said that the youth of the country will not tolerate insult of late Veer Savarkar.
Swara’s statement on Savarkar
In the year 2017, Swara had posted a pic of PM Modi paying tributes to Veer Savarkar with caption, “Savarkar APOLOGISED To the British govt. pleaded to be let out of jail! That’s not ‘Veer’ for sure…”.
Her tweet had drawn major condemnation and uproar at the time.

Further, in year 2019, Bhaskar had posted yet another tweet on Savarkar which read, “Understand the construction plan made by the most cowardly ‘Bahadur’ Veer Savarkar”.
Celebrities who received threats recently
Notably, Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan had also received a similar letter some time back. Meanwhile, ‘Bigg Boss’ fame Manu Punjabi had also received a similar threat. Though, the person who threatened him was arrested later.
