New Delhi: We all saw how South Indian Superstar Akhil Akkineni’s much-awaited Agent fell flat at the box office back in April this year.
Despite having a popular star-studded cast, the spy thriller heavily underperformed at the box office and failed to hit its financial targets during its theatrical Run.
Nevertheless, A huge number of fans are eagerly waiting for the movie’s OTT release ever since Sony LIV cracked a deal with its makers and acquired the movie’s digital rights.
Agent’s OTT release delayed further
Earlier, the movie was expected to release on the OTT platform on 19th of May but unfortunately, it didn’t happen and fans were left waiting.
After its unexpected postponement, it was speculated that the movie will find its way to the OTT platform by 23rd June. However, the movie was delayed once again and ever since then, the makers have not uttered a single word regarding its new OTT release date.
What’s causing the delay?
The hindrances that are causing delays in the movie’s release are not yet known by the public and are a matter of speculation.
It is also rumored that the film is getting delayed as the makers are re-editing the movie with the hope of getting a better response from the OTT Audience.
However, what’s obvious is that fans are definitely not happy with these back-to-back postponements in the movie’s release.

The Surender Reddy’s Spy thriller Agent casts Sakshi Vidya as the leading female character alongside Dino Morya in the shoes of the movie’s antagonist. It also features Vikramjeet Virk and Mammootty in important roles.
The movie made on a budget of Rs 80 Crore was released in the cinemas under the Banner of AK Entertainment back on 28th April.
