Akshay Kumar tests Covid positive, says won’t attend Cannes Film Festival

The actor revealed that he would not be able to attend Cannes.

New Delhi: Prithviraj starrer ‘Akshay Kumar’ tested Covid positive, he shared this heartbreaking news on  Twitter.

The actor revealed that he would not be able to attend Cannes Film Festival, which begins on May 17.

The actor wrote, “Was really looking forward to rooting for our cinema at the India Pavilion at #Cannes2022 but have sadly tested positive for Covid. I will rest it out. Loads of best wishes to you and your entire team, @ianuragthakur. I will really miss being there.”

This is the second time in the year that the actor is diagnosed with COVID. In April 2021 Akshay tweeted and informed the fans  “I wish to inform everyone that, earlier this morning, I have tested positive for COVID-19. Following all the protocols, I have immediately isolated myself. I’m under home quarantine and have sought necessary medical care. I would sincerely request all those that have come in contact with me to get themselves tested and take care. Back in action very soon,” he wrote.

Akshay Kumar was hospitalized during that stage when he recovered his wife Twinkle Khanna in an Instagram post updated about his health.

Akshay will be seen in his upcoming movie Prithiviraj, directed by  Chandraprakash Dwivedi. Superstar shared the screen with Miss Universe 2017 ‘Manushree Chhillar’. The movie will be released on 3 June 2022.
