New Delhi: Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra is flying high with the success of her latest film ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’ starring Diljit Dosanjh in the lead roles. Parineeti played the role of Amar Singh Chamkila’s wife Amarjot Kaur and fans loved her performance. The film was released in Netflix on April 12 and is based on the real life of the legendary singer ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’. He was shot dead by unknown gunmen when he was with his wife.
The film is directed by Imtiyaz Ali and is doing well at the box office, Parineeti who played the role of the singer’s wife in the film, took to her Instagram and thanked her fans, she wrote, Amarjot ko itna pasand karne ke liye Shukriya #Chamkila 🙏🏼❤️Overwhelmed with all the love that’s been pouring in… thank you… #Grateful

The film revolves around the life of the singer ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’ his struggles, his passion for singing and how he rose to fame by writing his own lyrics for his songs. He became the singing sensation in Punjab and his live performances used to attract a lot of crowd. Chamkila’s murder remained a mystery and his assassins were never caught.

The director has successfully managed to portray all the characters of the film on screen. However the film maker Imtiyaz was a little doubtful about picking Diljit to play the role of the legendary singer, but Diljit nailed it with his performance. He has once again proved that he is not only a noted singer but also a talented actor.
