Ameesha Patel hides face after surrendering in cheque bounce case before Ranchi Court

New Delhi: After a long time, Bollywood’s renowned actress Ameesha Patel is back in the gossip once again.

The 47-year-old actress, who is known for her iconic acting in Bollywood’s cult classic blockbuster “Gadar ” Is going to appear on the big screens once again in the movie’s sequel that will hit the theaters on 11th of August.

However, much before the release of her hyped movie, Gadar 2’s Sakina found herself in trouble after a Ranchi court issued warrants against the actress in an alleged fraud and cheating case.

A video of the actress walking out of the court’s premises is now being widely shared on the internet. In the viral video, Ameesha is seen walking surrounded by paparazzi with her face covered in a dupatta.

Who dragged Gadar actress to the court?

As per the reports, The case dates back to 2018 when a Ranchi-based producer, Ajay Kumar sued Ameesha for committing fraud with him in the name of making a movie.

Ajay alleged that he provided Ameesha a sum of rupees 2.5 crores for making a movie titled ‘Desi Magic’. However, as the film never made it to the theaters, Ajay asked for a refund from Ameesha but she refused to pay him any money.

Later on, two separate checks worth Rupees 50 lacks and 2.5 crores were provided to him by the actress but both of them got bounced.

Ameesha ordered to appear in court once again

Although Ameeshsha got a sigh of relief after she was granted bail on a 10,000 rupee bond on surrendering both of her checks in court, the actress was also directed to appear in court on the next date of hearing on 21st June.

If she fails to show up, her bail bond gets will likely be canceled by the court.
