New Delhi: Legendary Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan has gifted his Juhu bungalow to his daughter Shweta Nanda. The bungalow is located at a distance of one kilometre from Amitabh Bachchan’s house Jalsa. Amitabh  Bachchan brought Pratiksha after the success of his film ‘Sholay’ in 1975. According to reports he paid the stamp duty of 50.65 lakhs. This was the first bungalow purchased by the couple Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan after the release of the film Sholay. The veteran actor also recalled how his son Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai’s marriage was held in the same bungalow under the Gulmohar tree. The Bungalow’s name ‘Prateeksha’ was given by his late father who was a poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan. According to a report published by Koimoi, Amitabh Bachchan’s 3160 crore net worth drops as he gifts ‘Prateeksha’ to Shweta Bachchan.

Other Properties owned by Bachchan’s 

The other properties by the Bachchan family include Janak Bungalow which is mostly used for office purposes. Apart from these, there are two other bungalows Vatsa and Ammu which are being given to banks on lease. Mr Bachchan also purchased a duplex on the 27th and 28th floor of Atlantis building in Lokhandwala and later rented it to Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon for a rent of Rs 10 lakh per month. He also purchased four office units on the 21st and 28th signature office tower on Veera Desai road in Andheri for 28.73 cr. Many other Bollywood actors like Sara Ali Khan, Karthik Aryan, Manoj Bajpayee, Ajay Devgan and Kajol also bought office space in this tower.

Shweta Bachchan is an Author & Former Model

Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter Shweta Bachchan is an author, columnist, former model and entrepreneur. The veteran actor also sold a property in South Delhi’s Gulmohar Park where his parents used to live before they moved to Prateeksha. This house was purchased by the CEO of Nezone group of companies who was known to the Bachchan family for a long time.
