2. Abhimaan (1973)

When talking about Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan’s most memorable on-screen performances, Abhimaan is the movie that has to be mentioned. The movie starts with Amitabh and Jaya playing the lead Characters of a married couple Subir and Uma.

As the story proceeds, we see a series of rifts between the couple owing to Uma’s massive success in the music industry which raises Subir’s insecurities who is still struggling in his singing career. The story further intensifies with Subir’s ex-girlfriend Chitra’s re-entry into his life.

3. Mili (1975)

The Romantic Drama stars Amitabh Bachchan as a depressed alcohol addict who falls for his beautiful neighbor Mili (Jaya Bachchan). Later, his life takes an unexpected turn when he gets to know about Mili’s fatal medical condition.

The movie is praised for the couple’s captivating acting to this day.

4. Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001)

Directed by Karan Johar, “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham” brought together an ensemble cast and portrayed a tale of family bonds, emotions, and reconciliations.
