New Delhi: Sharukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan was granted bail by the Bombay High Court on Thursday, almost 25 days after he was sent behind bars in Mumbai cruise ship drug case. Apart from Aryan, Munmun Dhamecha and Arbaaz Merchant have also been granted bail. The court will give its detailed order on Friday.
“Bombay High Court has granted bail to Aryan Khan, Arbaz Merchant, Munmun Dhamecha after hearing the arguments for three days. The detailed order will be given tomorrow. Hopefully, they all will come out of the jail by tomorrow or Saturday,” said AGI Mukul Rohatgi, who represented Aryan Khan.
Aryan Khan was represented by Mukul Rohatgi, the former Attorney General of India (AGI). Along with him, Satish Maneshinde and senior counsel Amit Desai were also present during the hearing.
Several Bollywood celebrities have taken to Twitter to express their happiness over the bail granted to Aryan. Starting from Sonu Sood to Swara Bhaskar, everybody has congratulated Aryan and expressed their warm wishes in his regards.
Sonu Sood took to the micro-blogging site and stated, “समय जब न्याय करता है, तब गवाहों की जरूरत नहीं होती। (When time judges, then there is no need for witnesses.)”

Swara Bhaskar applauded Aryan Khan’s bail and wrote “Finally” followed by a clapping hands emoji. She wrote this retweeting a post that read, “Bombay HC grants bail to Aryan Khan and two others (sic).”

Indian film director, Ram Gopal Verma also took to Twitter posting, “So if It just took Mukul Rahtogi’s argument, to get bail for Aryan, does it mean his earlier lawyers were so incompetent that he had to spend so many days in jail needlessly? (sic).”

The 23-year-old boy was arrested on October 3 following a raid Cordelia cruise by the Narcotics Control Bureau. Aryan Khan was not only charged under drugs consumption but also illicit involvement in drug trafficking. His previous bail appeal was rejected by both the magistrate court and the special NDPS court.
