Bollywood actress Tabu bags a key role in American Series ‘Dune’

New Delhi: ‘Crew’ actress tabu who is basking in the success of her latest film ‘Crew’ has bagged a key role in the American series ‘Dune’. The series is inspired by the famous novel ‘Sisterhood of Dune’ written by Brian Herbert. ‘Dune’ is described as the best selling science fiction novel in history. The story has also inspired many video games.

The series features stars like Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Travis Fimmel, Johdi May and Mark Strong. According to sources, Tabu will be playing the role of sister Francesca. Her role is considered as strong, appealing and enduring. The first part of the series came out in 2019 which was titled as ‘Dune’ and now ‘Dune Prophecy’ is the story of two sisters who are fighting with the forces which is threatening the future of humans.

Tabu was last seen in the film ‘Crew’ which did well at the box office. The film was directed by Rajesh A Krishnan and the star cast includes Karina Kapoor Khan, Tabu and Kriti Sanon. All the three actresses played the role of Air-Hostesses. The three actors work in an Airline who is facing bankruptcy. The staff has not been paid for months and the employees keep a hope that things change one day. The story of the film revolves around the lives of these air hostesses who are struggling in their lives in some or the other way.

Talking about Dune series, the show has a massive fan following and the two films have been released so far. Part 2 was released in March this year and starring Zendaya, Austin Butler and Timothee Chalamet.
