New Delhi: Indian actress Pooja Hegde who was last seen in the Tamil film ‘Beast’ is picked up to play the lead role in the upcoming film ‘Suriya 44’. The film is directed by Karthik Subbaraj and is produced by 2D Entertainment. After a lot of speculations, the name of the female lead is decided. The ‘Beast’ actress is likely to join the shoot of the film which is scheduled to begin in Andamans soon.

The shoot of the film will begin from the 1st week of June. A source close to the film revealed “Suriya 44 will be shot in a single schedule for 40 days before moving on to Ooty and other locations. There is also a strong buzz that Malayalam actor Joju George is likely to play a key role in the film.
