Chamak OTT Release on Dec 7: When and Where to watch Rohit Jugraj’s web series

New Delhi: As the month nears an end, there are many OTT releases lined up for release. One of them is ‘Chamak’ the biggest musical thriller of the year starring Paramvir Cheema in the lead role. The show has been directed by Rohit Jugraj. The web series is all set to premiere on Sony Liv on 7th December.  The star cast of the series inlcudes Isha Talwar, Paramvir, Manoj Pahwa, Akasa Singh, Mohit Malik, Suvinder Vicky, Mukesh Chhabra and Prince Kanwaljit Singh. However, Gippy Grewal is seen in a special appearance in the series.

What is the series all about?

The storyline revolves around the life of an aspiring singer who wants to find the reality behind his father’s death who was a legendary singer. To accomplish his motive he travels from Canada to Punjab and shocked to discover the hard reality and politics of the Music Industry through politics, feuds, family history and honor killings.

According to the official statement of the director of the series, the idea behind the series is that no artist should be killed. He believes that violence can lead to a cycle of bloodshed for many generations to come. He also shares that the story of chamak is not about glamour, but it is about the darkness behind the stage lights.

Music of Chamak

The series has 28 songs and the music has been sung by Gippy Grewal, Malkit Singh, MC Square, Mika Singh, Asees Kaur, Afsana Khan, Sunidhi Chauhan, Kanwar Grewal, Harjot Kaur and Shashwat Singh. The album includes songs like Ganda Banda, Chal Uth Kaale, Mat Maari, Tota Puri, Khairaat, Aas Lagi Hai, Edar Odar, Kangi Wava, Main Meera Main Deewani. The series will be coming in this thursday 7th december.
