
New Delhi: Chandramukhi 2, the horror comedy starring Raghava Lawrence and Kangana Ranaut, made a promising debut at the box office on Thursday. According to initial estimates from Sacnilk.com, the film raked in a decent ₹7.5 crore across multiple languages. Helmed by director P Vasu, the film features Raghava in a dual role, adding an intriguing twist to the storyline.
According to the portal’s report, Chandramukhi 2 witnessed a Tamil occupancy rate of 51.90 percent on Thursday. Meanwhile, the Telugu shows garnered an occupancy rate of 42.65 percent, and the Hindi screenings recorded a lower rate of 12.77 percent. The Tamil film’s release coincided with two Hindi films, namely The Vaccine War and Fukrey 3. It is worth noting that Thursday was a significant day in India, observing both Eid-e-Milad an-Nabi and Ganpati Visarjan holidays in various parts of the country.

Initially scheduled for a release on September 15, Chandramukhi 2 encountered a delay and was rescheduled to hit the theaters on September 28. The postponement was attributed to technical issues that needed to be resolved prior to the film’s release. Renowned composer M. M. Keeravani has lent his musical prowess to the film, creating a captivating soundtrack for the audience to savor.
