This is the second film in the Chandramukhi series, in which the ghost of the iconic figure returns to torment the household of the deposed monarch to exact revenge for the murder of her lover. The film follows a wealthy family as they go back in time to their ancestral house to fulfil family traditions, only to accidentally awake a centuries-old war between the spirits of the classical dancer Chandramukhi and King Vettaiyan Raja.

After her jealous husband killed her, Chandramukhi was locked up in the palace, and Vettaiyan Raja was cursed to wander the grounds of the palace as a ghost. As the ritual continues, Chandramukhi’s spirit takes possession of one of the family members, setting in motion a series of events that might lead to the breakdown of the family unit.
