Chandramukhi 2 trailer: Kangana Ranaut spooks with her dancing ghost avatar, Ragava Lawrence impresses in double role

Helmed by talented director P Vasu, Chandramukhi 2 is the much-awaited sequel to Rajnikanth and Joythika starrer super hit horror comedy that made it to the theatres back in April 2005.

New Delhi: After making the fans wait for a long while, the makers of Chandramukhi 2 have finally dropped the film’s intriguing trailer during the eagerly awaited trailer launch event that was held in Chennai on Sunday (3 September)

The Kangana starrer’s 2: 48 minute-long trailer showcases the story of a large family that moves into a mysterious mansion with the aim of finding a solution to their problems. However, the family soon realise that the mention is far more problematic than any of their problems when they are warned against going to the southern block of the mention which is haunted by vengeful Chandramukhi.

Later, the narrative further twists and takes an unexpected turn when Chandramukhi’s 200-year-old legend and its connection to the mention are revealed after 17 years. The old forgotten tale of a beautiful court dancer Chandramukhi and her Vettiyan King is still alive in the cursed mention’s southern block and the family must find out why.

Helmed by talented director P Vasu, Chandramukhi 2 is the much-awaited sequel to Rajnikanth and Joythika starrer super hit horror comedy that made it to the theatres back in April 2005.

It boasts a stellar cast that has, Raghava Lawrence (Vettaiyan and Raja), Kangana Ranaut (Chandramukhi), and Vadivelu (Murugesan) as the leading actors of the movie. In the supporting roles, the movie features Raadhika Sarathkumar, Lakshmi Menon, Srushti Dange, Mithun Shyam, Mahima Nambiar, Rao Ramesh, Vignesh, Ravi Mariya, Suresh Menon, T. M. Karthik, Subiksha Krishnan, R. S. Shivaji and Y. G. Mahendran.

Jointly produced by Lyca Production and Subaskaran, the eagerly awaited movie is all set for its Grand release in five major Languages (Tamil, Telegu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi) on the 15th of September.

What’s next for Kangana?

Kangna Ranaut, who last appeared on the big screen in Razneesh Ghai’s 2022 release Dhakkad has a number of projects in her pipeline. Following Chandramukhi 2, the Manikarna actress will arrive on the Bbg screen as former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in her much-awaited upcoming movie Emergency. The movie is likely to make it to the theatres by 24 November 2023.

Besides that, Kangana is also a part of Sarvesh Mewara’s Tejas which is expected to be released on October 20.
