New Delhi: Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has been receiving criticism for the overpricing of her skincare range. The actress launched her skincare brand 82E in 2022 giving competition to many other brands in the market. She was also seen promoting her brands herself, from the night cream to the face serum or even the day cream. The actress was seen in all the commercials of 82E. However, her skincare range was tagged as ‘too pricy’ by many and she has been facing flak for the same. In one of her interviews, the actress clarified the price range of her products, she said whenever a new product is being launched, I am the first one to test it upon herself before trials.
‘We have built a successful brand, we’ll continue to do do’
The actress also said that if I am selling you a product of Rs 2500 then rest assured that I am also using it every day.
The way we have been able to build our brand is by being consistent and true to who we are. That’s how we have been able to grow a successful brand in the past one year and we will continue to do that.” She added that she uses the product herself for one or two weeks or even for months, depending upon her feedback, then she gives a green signal and it goes for a clinical trial.
