New Delhi: Diljit-Parineeti starrer ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’ continue to make waves in the box office and social media platforms. The musical blockbuster is directed by Imtiaz Ali and is currently ruling the box office. The film also gets a huge shout out from Amul India, popular dairy brand. They shared an animated picture of the two actors Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti who can be seen holding bread slices with butter. The image reads, ‘Ek Chamach Khila’.

The film revolves around the life of the singer ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’ his struggles, his passion for singing and how he rose to fame by writing his own lyrics for his songs. He became the singing sensation in Punjab and his live performances used to attract a lot of crowd. Chamkila’s murder remained a mystery and his assassins were never caught. Actor and Singer Diljit Dosanjh played the role of the legendary singer and actress Parineeti played his wife in the film. Both the actors played an excellent part in the film.

This is however not the first film made on the singer ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’. A Film ‘Mahsampur’ was also made in 2018 directed by kabir Singh Chowdhry . This film also won many awards.

About the film ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’
The director has successfully managed to portray all the characters of the film on screen. However the film maker Imtiyaz was a little doubtful about picking Diljit to play the role of the legendary singer, but Diljit nailed it with his performance. He has once again proved that he is not only a noted singer but also a talented actor. The film was released on Netflix and continues to receive love from the audience.
