Disney+ Hotstar New Releases in January 2022: Latest web series, TV shows and Movies to Premiere (Trailers)

New Delhi: Jeremy Renner’s bow-and-arrow titular superhero Marvel series became the most watched content on Disney+ Hotstar in the year 2021, while it was released much later in the second last month of the year.

Meanwhile, the streaming giant’s most loved movie of the year 2021 in the country became ‘Atrangi Re’, a beautiful but complicated love triangle between Sara Ali Khan, Dhanush, and Akshay Kumar.

The movie garnered critic’s acknowledgment as well as hype on social media, especially for the characters of Dhanush and Sara.

Now with the beginning of the first month of year 2022, an Indian web-series ‘Human’ based on the dark side of human medical trials among others is all set to stream on Disney+ Hotstar.

New arrivals to release from January 01 – 15: 

1. Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir (Season 4)

Release Date: January 5

Teenager Marinette changes into Ladybug, her clandestine superhero persona, while her classmate and crush Adrien transforms into Cat Noir, his secret superhero persona, to shield Paris from evil. Episode 4-7 of animated series Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir will stream on January 5.

2. The Book of Boba Fett (Chatpter 3) 

Release Date: January 12

On the sands of Tatoonie, bounty hunter Boba Fett and mercenary Fennec Shand navigate the Galaxy’s underworld and fight for Jabba the Hutt’s old territory. The Star Wars action adventure stars Temuera Morrison, Ming-Na Wen, Frank Trigg among other.

4. Eternals

Release Date: 12

Directed by Oscar-winner Chloe Zhao, this 26th Marvel movie welcomes an exciting new team of Super-Heroes to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The movie’s plot is about these titular beings that have lived in secret on the earth for 7000 years.


3. Human 

Release Date: January 14

The fictional series delves deep into the collateral damage due to fast-tracked drug trials for financial gains that involves endangering of innocent lives. Going through compelling themes such as medical malpractice, value of human life, class divide and more.

Release Date: January 25

The show is a generation-spanning drama about a Latinx family vying for wealth and power in California’s Sonoma Valley. The series features John Ortiz, Cecilia Suarez, Augusto Aguilera, Christina Ochoa, Mariel Molino and Tonatiuh in the lead roles.
