Disney+ Hotstar New Releases in May 2022: Latest web series, TV shows and Movies to Premiere (Trailers)

New Delhi:  Streaming giant Disney+ Hotstar will soon come up with the Indian version of the award-winning Irish series ‘Blood’.

‘Mirzapur’ directors Gurmmeet Singh and Mihir Desai have come on board to helm the project. Created by Sophie Petzal, ‘Blood’ is an intimate drama and psychological thriller about familial bonds, memories, and the past’s impact on the present.

The Indian version of the show will be produced by Dreamers & Doers Co, a premium content studio owned by Reliance Entertainment, in association with All3Media International. The cast has not been revealed yet.

2. Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal (KRK)

Release Date: May 27

Two women fall for the same man. While one is already married to him, the other one slept with him once after partying hard. The plot takes a sharp twist when the three of the persons involved come to a bizarre adjustment. The movie stars Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara and Samantha in the lead roles.

3. Obi-Wan Kenobi

Release Date: May 27

The story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith” where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat—the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.

1. Sneakerella

Written by David Light & Joseph Raso, and directed by Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum, ‘Sneakerella’ is an upcoming American musical comedy film. A re-imagining of the classic fairy tale Cinderella, the film will star Chosen Jacobs and Lexi Underwood in the lead roles.

2. 12th Man

Release Date: May 20

The upcoming Malayalam language thriller court drama is set to stream online on Disney+ Hostar from May 20 onwards. Jeethu Joseph directorial features Mohanlal, Unni Mukundan, Saiju Kurup, Shivada, Anu Sithara, Anusree, Priyanka Nair, Anu Mohan, and others in the lead roles.

3. Chip n’ Dale: Rescue Rangers

Release Date: May 20

Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers is an upcoming American live-action/animated action-adventure comedy film based on the characters Chip and Dale and the subsequent animated TV series of the same name.
