Divya Bharti’s 47th Birth Anniversary: If Divya was alive today, it would have been her 46th birthday today.

New Delhi: Its been 28 years, Divya Bharti left for heavenly abode at a very young age. Her death under mysterious circumstances still remains like an unfold mystery. Had she been alive, she would have turned 47 today.

The beautiful and young actor rose to fame during the 90s and is best known for her roles in films like ‘Deewana’, ‘Dil Hi To Hai’ and ‘Shola Aur Shabnam’ among others.

The actress lost her life on 5 April 1993 due to head injuries after falling off the balcony of her fifth-floor apartment in Mumbai. News about her death was extremely depressing because it happened when she was at the peak of her career.

Divya  got her first break in 1990’s release ‘Bobbili’ which was a Telugu film. She was just sixteen at that time. The super hit film was also dubbed in Hindi.

Divya Bharti started her career in the Bollywood industry at the tender age of 19 with her impeccable acting skills. Divya debuted in Bollywood with the film ‘Vishwatma’ released in 1992 co-starring Sunny Deol.

She had also won a Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut in 1993 for the film ‘Deewana’ starring opposite Shah Rukh Khan and Rishi Kapoor.

It is said that Divya and filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala tied the knot in a private ceremony, in the presence of her hairdresser, her husband and a Qazi at Nadiadwala’s residence in Versova, Mumbai.

‘Kshatriya’ was Divya Bharti’s last film, she died a week after the release of the film. ‘Rang’ and ‘Shatranj’ released posthumously in 1993.
