New Delhi: Deepika Singh, the Television actress best known for her serial ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ on Saturday made an appeal to Kejriwal government to help her family in Delhi, as he mother has been tested positive for Covid-19.
Posting a video appeal, the actress said her mother had fever for few days and was losing taste in food. When tested at Lady Hardinge hospital, her mother was found to be Corona positive but the hospital hasn’t given the report yet.
“More than 4-5 days have passed, we are yet to get the report. They only allowed my father to click its picture,” Deepika said in video.
Deepika said that her mother lives with 45 other people in the joint family and thus it needs urgent addressal as all of them are at risk.

She also tagged Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in an appeal for urgent assistance.

Mother gets admission in hospital, actor thanks Delhi govt
After Deepika’s fervent appeal for help, the Delhi govt acted quickly and arranged admission for her mother in Sir Gangaram hospital.
The actress tweeted this information and thanked Delhi government for immediately addressing her problem.

In May 2014, Deepika Singh got married to Rohit Raj Goyal, the director of Diya Aur Baati Hum, and the couple welcomed their first child, son Soham in May 2017.
