New Delhi: Shah Rukh Khan’s renewed popularity, on back of recent blockbusters Jawan & Pathaan and maverick director Raju Hirani make for a potent combo and their coming together in the flick ‘Dunki’ is expected to rewrite the box office records.
The film opened to rave reviews today, with umpteen fans across the country singing paeans for the King Khan and also supporting actors Vicky Kaushal & Taapse Pannu. Director Raju Hiran, having earned a cult status with his filmography prowess had already exalted the hopes of cine-watchers.
However, soon after the movie screening in various theatres across the country, a shocking & unbelievable trend surfaced on social media.
‘SRK’s Disaster Donkey’ was the hashtag which made it to top X trend on Thursday.
Many fans used the hashtag and slammed SRK’s Dunki for ‘lackluster’ performance of actors and also taunted the acclaimed director for a ‘poor’ storyline.
Many of the cine-buffs were left disappointed with the movie and dubbed it as over-hyped drama and not standing upto the mark. A couple of them called this movie, Raju Hirani’s worst after 3 idiots & PK.

A couple of them tore into King Khan for his over-acting & theatrics while others found the SRK-Taapsee chemistry as insipid & unexciting.
