New Delhi: Bollywood actor Hema Malini and Dharmendra’s daughter Esha Deol have finally revealed in a joint statement that the couple has parted ways. Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani tied the knot in 2012. The couple was dating for a few years and then decided to get married. The couple had an intimate wedding ceremony at the ISKCON temple in Mumbai. Isha Deol’s husband Bharat Takhtani is a businessman and Esha Deol made her career in Bollywood like her mother Hema Malini. The couple issued a joint statement which read, “We have mutually and amicably decided to part ways. Through this shift in our lives, the best interests and welfare of our two children is and will be of utmost importance to us. We’d appreciate our privacy is respected.”

About Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani
Esha Deol once shared in an interview that the met Bharat Takhtani during an Inter school competition and he was studying in Learner’s Academy in Bandra which was known for the most handsome guys at that time. They met during the competition which was hosted by her school. She added that she herself had shared her number with him and Bharat found her really cute even though she had braces. Both of them moved to pursue their careers and met again after a span of 10 years. Esha was working in Bollywood films at that time. They again started talking and came close.

‘Bharat felt neglected and irritated after the birth of 2nd child’
The couple is blessed with two daughters Radhya and Miraya. Esha Deol also mentioned in a book which was penned down by her where she reveals how her husband felt ignored after the birth of her second daughter. She wrote Bharat was behaving in an unusual way, he was cranky and irritated because my attention shifted to my child, an it is natural for any husband to feel that way, as she was looking after her two daughters and also managing her work.
