Fans wish Happiest Birthday to the man with the Golden Voice Arijit Singh

His training started when he was 3 years old. He used to listen to Bengali Classical music, Zakir Hussain and Ghulam Ali Khan.

New Delhi: Indian Playback Arjit Singh is celebrating his birthday today and his fans took to social media to wish their most favorite singer a very happy birthday. Born on 25th April 1987, Arijit Singh’s family came from Lahore during partition. His father was a Sikh and mother was a Bengali Hindu. He began his music training at an early stage. Arijit’s maternal grandmother used to sing and his maternal aunt was trained in Indian Classical music. He always had an inclination towards music since childhood.

Arijit Singh was taught Indian Classical music by Rajendra Prasad Hazari and Dhirendra Prasad Hazari. His training started when he was 3 years old. He used to listen to Bengali Classical music, Zakir Hussain and Ghulam Ali Khan. He was inspired by Kishore Kumar, Manna Dey and Hemant Kumar. His mentor Rajendra Prasad Hazari asked him to apply for the audition of ”Fame Gurukool ‘when he was 18 years old. Unfortunately he was eliminated in the sixth round.

Arijit’s singing was noticed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and he asked him to sing a song for his upcoming film ‘Saawariya’. Here also the film’s script was changed and Arijit’s song was removed. The singer was later signed by head of Tips Music company for an album which was also dropped. The iconic singer then moved to Mumbai to start freelancing. He used his prized money to build his studio. That’s when he started composing his own music and also sang for the advertisements and radio stations.

The Music Composer and singer had to face lots of struggles to finally achieve fame and to reach the hearts of the audience. Despite being trained from the veterans of the music industry he made his own way and became the Man with the Golden Voice.
