New Delhi: Considered to be one of the biggest and most prestigious award shows, Filmfare awards is held annually to honour the artistic and technical excellence in the Bollywood industry. It is one of the oldest film events in the country.
Reportedly, the award was first introduced by the Filmfare magazine of The Times Group in 1954, the same year when another prestigious National Film Awards was also established. This year, the Filmfare award will reach the milestone of its 67th edition.
Initially, the Filmfare Awards were referred to as the Clare Awards or The Clares, named after the editor of the popular Indian newspaper Times Of India, Clare Mendonca. In terms of the Bollywood industry, these awards are equivalent to the Academy Awards in the United States.
Filmfare Awards 2020 hosts
Ranveer Singh along with his best buddy, Arjun Kapoor will be hosting the show the 67th edition of the Filmfare Awards. This is the first time, Ranveer Singh will be hosting the prestigious award show. He attended several press conferences where he stated that hosting takes ten times more work as well as ten times the amount of time.

This year, the award show will be held on August 30, 2022, at Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, Maharashtra. It will be a six-hour long show starting from 6:00 PM. The tickets for the live event are available on ‘BookMyShow.’

The ticket prices start from Rs 3500 per ticket and you can purchase a minimum of 1 ticket and a maximum of 10 tickets.
