New Delhi: Fridays are made fun and enjoyable with new films and shows. The first Friday of August brings a variety of shows and movies on OTT platforms for you to enjoy. From crime to comedy, the upcoming Friday offers all genres to the viewers.

Here is a list of upcoming films and series on OTT on August 5:

1. Victim- Who is Next?

The Tamil web series stars talented actors like Amala Paul and Nassar along with Priya Bhavani Shankar, Prasanna and Thambi Ramaiah. The crime drama has suspense, thrill, mystery and whatever it requires to make a good crime show.

The series will release on Sony Liv this Friday.

2. Darlings

Alia Bhatt, Vijay Varma and Shefali Shah bring to you a comedy-drama with women in lead. The film follows the lives of two women as they find courage and love in exceptional circumstances. The film is directed by Jasmeet K Reen and stars Roshan Mathew, Vikram and Inayah Chowdhry in supporting roles.

‘Darlings’ will stream on Netflix.

3. John Luther

The movie revolves around the missing case of a teacher named Prakashan which is reported at the police station where John Luther works as a CI. As the investigation progresses, John meets with an accident in a scuffle while investigating another case.

The film, directed by written and Abhijith Joseph, stars Jayasurya and Athmeeya Rajan in the lead. ‘John Luther’ will release on Manorama MAX.

4. Crash Course

The series shows the story of two warring coaching institutes. Also, it is a story about friendship, first love, heartbreak, peer pressure and the loss of innocence of youth. The show stars Annu Kapoor, Bhanu Uday, Udit Arora, Anushka Kaushik, Hridhu Haroon, and Anvesha Vij along with an ensemble cast.

The series will stream on Amazon Prime Video.

5. The Sandman

DC is here with its own ‘Sandman’. The series follows Dream, the personification of dreams, who upon escaping the decades-long imprisonment by a mortal wizard sets about to reclaim his lost equipment. The web series stars Tom Sturridge as Dream along with, Gwendoline Christie, Boyd Holbrook and Jenna Coleman with other cast members.

The creators behind the series are Neil Gaiman, David S. Goyer and Allan Heinberg. The Sandman will release on Netflix on August 5.
