New Delhi: The month of July is carrying forward the wave of new OTT releases. The first week of the month has so much action and adventure to offer that you will be tied to your couch binge-watching movies and shows. Here is a list of 5 movies and shows releasing in the first week of July on different OTT platforms: 1. Major The film is based on the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, who was martyred in action during the 2008 Mumbai attacks. 2 months later he was awarded the Ashoka Chakra, India's highest peacetime gallantry award. After a successful run in the theatres, the film will release on OTT. The film is directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka and is written by Adivi Sesh who has also played the role of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan. The film will release on Netflix on July 3. 2. Operation Romeo Operation Romeo is a film based on themes of fears and stresses that youthful couples all over the nation. The Shashant Shah directorial film talks about moral policing faced by young couples in India. The film features Siddhant Gupta and Vedika Pinto along with Sharad Kelkar and Bhoomika Chawla. The film was released in cinemas on April 22 and now it will be making its OTT debut on July 3 on Netflix. 3. Koffee with Karan (Season 7) India's most popular celebrity talk show Koffee with Karan is back with its season 7. The show is hosted by director-producer Karan Johar. This season of Koffee with Karan is expected to feature celebs like Samantha Prabhu, Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif and many more. If you love Bollywood gossip then this is the show for you. The show will stream from July 7 onwards on Disney+Hotstar. 4. PAKA (River of Blood) PAKA is a Malayalam film set in Northern Kerala. It is a tale of a river that swells with the blood of two rival families and a young couple that tries to overcome this hatred with their love. The film is written and directed by Nithin Lukose and it features Nithin George and Jose Kizhakkan. The film will release on Sony Liv on July 7. 5. The Gone Game (Season 2) The Gone Game is back with its season 2, bringing to you more mystery and thrill. The first season revolved around Sahil Gujral going missing, in the midst of a pandemic. Thought to be a victim of the coronavirus at first, his death points to a mysterious crime. The series features some popular faces of OTTs, namely, Sanjay Kapoor, Arjun Mathur, Shweta Tripathi and Shriya Pilgaonkar. The first season of the show was shot by the cast almost entirely within the confines of their homes and directed remotely by a stellar crew. Season 2 of The Gone Game will release on Voot on July 7.
