New Delhi: Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 has been doing wonders at the Box office.
In its twenty-day-long box office Run, the movie has stormed the box office by minting a colossal sum of ₹ 473 crore.
While Gadar 2 is eyeing to make history by becoming the biggest Bollywood flick of 2023 by dethroning Pathan, Sunny Deol is busy celebrating its success by appearing in a number of shows and events to promote and talk about the success story of his super hit movie.
In his recent appearances on Ranveer Alahabadia’s popular YouTube chat show, the veteran actor, who usually keeps his personal life to himself, opened up about various aspects of his life, career, family, and childhood while also speaking about a shocking incident that almost had him beaten by a girl’s brother.
When a girl’s brother confronted Sunny for teasing his sister
Recalling the incident, the Gadar fame actor told how he got pursued by a man after he tried to interact with his sister on the roadside.
The actor got into the details of the incident and remembered how during his school or college days he and his friends made fun of a girl on the roadside and then went back to one of his friend’s houses. They then heard a loud thump right outside on the door of the building and upon inspecting a little, they saw a car stopping right outside the gate of the house. Soon after that, an angry man walked out of it and approached Sunny with a fuming look on his face.
However, as soon as Sunny realized that the man confronting him was none other than the brother of the girl he had just teased earlier, he let his guard down and accepted his mistake. He further revealed that he told the girl’s brother to hit him if he felt like it because he knew he had done wrong by misbehaving with his sister and her brother has the right to revenge him for the same.
“When I am wrong, I am wrong” the actor added.
When Dharmendra slapped Sunny
In the podcast, Sunny also talked about the only time when he got slapped by his dad for being a mischievous kid.
Speaking about the same, the 65 year old actor said “Ek dafa mai neeche aa raha tha kuch galat karke to papa ko pata chala to pata nahi kis cheez pe kya unhone kiya par mujhe ek accha sa thappad pada. (Once I was descending the stairs after doing something wrong and when my dad got to know about the same, he gave me a tight slap)
He further told how his mother and Grandmother got angry at his dad for slapping him and made him feel Sorry for the same.
Gadar 2’s mission Pathan
Meanwhile, Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 saw a significant surge in its collection on Raksha Bandhan and garnered a bumper sum of ₹8.5 crore at the BO.
With that, the movie’s total domestic collection now stands at a towering total of ₹ 473 crores making it the second highest Bollywood grosser of 2023 next to Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathan which grossed ₹543 crores at the domestic box office by the end of its theatrical run.
