Gateway of India lights up with Stranger Things 4 fever; See pics

The Gateway of India of Mumbai also joined this unique initiative along with 15 most prestigious landmarks (across 14 countries).

New Delhi: The most awaited series Stranger Things Season 4 is already streaming on Netflix today. This is only the first part of the fourth season and has already created a buzz all around the world after the trailer was released. Indians are as excited as the rest of the world to see the series. But what was brought to surprise was how the Gateway of India, the symbolic landmark of Mumbai celebrated the launch of the show.

Ever since Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) ripped open a portal between Hawkins and the Upside Down in 1983, in the most unexpected places, similar rifts have been experienced. Thus, the markers wanted the viewers of India to experience the world of Upside Down.

Gateway of India celebrates Stranger Things 4 launch

To celebrate the return of Stranger Things, some of the most iconic monuments across the globe showcased the appearance of rifts. The Gateway of India of Mumbai also joined this unique initiative along with 15 most prestigious landmarks (across 14 countries) namely the Empire State Building in New York, Duomo Square in Milan, Bondi Beach in Australia, Malecon Barranquilla in Colombia, and The Wawel Castle in Krakow, among others.

The fans of Stranger Things experienced a grand celebration with one of a kind projection mapping of the city’s popular landmark – The gateway of India. The monument was lit up in the night sky and gave a larger-than-life feeling, displaying popular elements from the series. It gave glimpses of characters including Eleven, Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas, Max, and the gang along with the mayhem waiting for them in the Upside Down.

The visitors at the Gateway of India were amazed to see the presentation before the launch of Stranger Things 4.

About Stranger Things 4

The official synopsis of Stranger Things 4 reads, “It’s been six months since the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins. Struggling with the aftermath, our group of friends are separated for the first time – and navigating the complexities of high school hasn’t made things any easier. In this most vulnerable time, a new and horrifying supernatural threat surfaces, presenting a gruesome mystery that, if solved, might finally put an end to the horrors of the Upside Down.”

The series is created by The Duffer Brothers and produced by Monkey Massacre Productions & 21 Laps Entertainment with The Duffer Brothers serving as executive producers, alongside Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen of 21 Laps Entertainment, Iain Paterson, and Curtis Gwinn.
