New Delhi: Bollywood Filmmaker Rohit Shetty is known for his action and contribution in the cinema for a long time. As the Filmmaker celebrates his 50th birthday today, lets take a look at his early life, career and films. Rohit Shetty was born on 14th March 1974. Apart from being a filmmaker he is also a stunt man, writer, Producer and Television Host. He is known for directing many action, comedy and commercial films.

Rohit Shetty started his career at an early age when he was just 15. He is the son of M B Shetty who was a Junior artist in the Hindi and Kannada films. He started working as an Assistant Director with director Kuku Kohli for the film ‘Phool aur Kaante’ starring Ajay Devgan. After this, he helped the director in the film ‘Ek aur Kohinoor’ which was not released unfortunately. Apart from direction, he has been an amazing host and has hosted many shows like ‘Khatron ke Khiladi’ since 2014.

After assisting many Film Directors in the initial years of his life, Rohit Shetty decide to make his own films and started with his first film zameen with Bollywood actor Ajay Devgan in n2003. He wanted to try his hands in comedy so he produced the ‘Golmaal’ which became a super hit.

Golmaal- Released in 2006, the film received positive response at the box office and audience.
Singham-Released in 2024, the film’s action sequence were a super hit.
Bol Bachchan-Released in 2012, this is also one of the noted films of Rohit Shetty

Dilwale-Audience loved the chemistry of Kajol and Shahrukh Khan in the film.
