New Delhi: Priyanka Chopra’s recently made some shocking revelations about being sidelined in Bollywood and reignited the outsider vs nepotism debate.
Extending her support for her cousin, Meera Chopra has called Priyanka Chopra’s achievements “a tight slap on the face of Bollywood.” Her comments came after Kangana Ranaut backed Priyanka Chopra with a series of tweets.
Meera Chopra quoted Kangana Ranaut’s tweet and wrote that no matter how successful an outsider becomes, she will always be treated as an outsider.
She added that those who don’t follow the rules book of Bollywood are smothered.

Recently, Priyanka Chopra appeared on the Armchair Expert Podcast. Speaking with the host Dax Shepard, she revealed how she was pushed into leaving the industry by some people. “I was tired of politics…I am not good at playing games,” she told.
She told that she had some disputes and wasn’t getting cast in films. Priyanka added that the music thing gave her an opportunity to try her luck in a new part of the world. “F*CK it, I am going to America,” she added.
Reacting to Priyanka Chopra’s statement, Kangana Ranaut tweeted that Bollywood chased out a self-made woman. The queen actress alleged that it was Karan Johar who banned her because of her relationship with Shahrukh Khan.

She further called Karan Johar a mean, toxic and obnoxious person who has ruined the culture of the entertainment industry. Kangana added that this kind of hostility towards outsiders wasn’t present back during time of SRK and Amitabh Bachchan.
