New Delhi: The most recent Koffee with Karan 7 episode featured a dialogue between Kiara Advani and Shahid Kapoor on the couch. Karan Johar revealed a startling truth during the entertaining episode. He said that Kriti Sanon was initially offered the part of Kiara in his Netflix production “Lust Stories.”
Kiara Advani and Vicky Kaushal were the major leads in the short film that Karan Johar directed for the anthology series. Here’s a small synopsis, Megha, played by Kiara, had an orgasm in front of her husband, sister-in-law, and mother-in-law. Kiara received accolades from many for her fearless and courageous portrayal in the movie. However, he claimed on Koffee With Karan that Kriti Sanon was initially cast in the part of Megha, but she declined because of her mother’s reservations.

Kriti Sanon declined my offer to cast her in this movie since her mother would not approve. I therefore assumed that now every mother was under fire for forbidding their daughters from performing such performances. It’s actually a very empowering story, I think. “It has to do with a woman’s right to enjoy herself,” Karan said on the programme.
He also explained how Kiara ultimately secured the position. “I initially ran into Kiara at Manish Malhotra’s residence. Of course, I was familiar with her, but I did so under the name Alia Advani. You’ll be shocked to learn that I have Kiara’s phone number saved on my phone under the name Alia Advani. Can you come meet me tomorrow? I asked her. It’s for a quick movie. She came and heard it, but I guess she was a little zoned out. ” Kiara, according to Karan, answered “yes” right away when she heard he was directing the short film.
Kiara also describes how she first met Sidharth Malhotra, the man she is rumoured to be dating. Funny enough, Sid and I were friends long before we were chosen for the Shershaah role. Of course, he was cast. But as soon as he and I struck up a conversation, Karan Johar continued, “So, we (Karan Johar and Kiara Advani) crashed the Lust Stories shoot wrap party at a friend’s house. Sid attended the party as well, so that is where the two of you first crossed paths. Kiara responded, “Casually met.” to that.
After hearing this, Shahid Kapoor quips, “Nice that you remember so well how you met.” Of course, I’ll never forget it, Kiara retorted.
