New Delhi: The weekend episode of Indian Idol 12 will be going to be an emotional episode for all Rishi Kapoor fans. Sony TV’s reality singing show will celebrate the legendary actor, with the top 10 contestants performing on his evergreen Bollywood songs. Late actor’s wife Neetu Kapoor will also join the celebration and will share some untold stories about their life.
Neetu Kapoor shot for the episode a few days back with judges- Vishal Dadlani, Neha Kakkar, Himesh Reshammiya and host Aditya Narayan. After the demise of her husband Rishi Kapoor in April last year, this will be the first television appearance of the veteran actress.

Neetu opened up on how she and Rishi started dating after contestants performed on romantic songs of the couple. She disclosed that she was earlier his wingwoman and constantly helped him to impress other girls. She further shared, “After chasing every girl, one day he came up to me and said that he likes me. He added that he finds me very simple and genuine.”
Neetu shared an incident when she finally realized that she was in love with him. The two actors were shooting for their movie at different cities, and Rishi sent her a Telegram which stated, “Sikhni yaad aayi (remembered you).” The Amar Akbar Anthony couldn’t hold her emotions and she was in tears while sharing these love-filled incidents.
The actress was left overwhelmed and emotional when Rishi’s friends Prem Chopra, Jeetendra and Rakesh Roshan’s video messages were played. Rakesh shared that he had a friendship with Rishi for more than 45 years. Calling him a frank and open-hearted person, the filmmaker said that he still misses him and that Rishi was a true ‘India Idol’. Furthermore, Jeetendra shared how much he feels Rishi Kapoor’s absence. He added that the late actor will always remain ‘Chintu’ for him. Jeetendra also praised Neetu for being the best and perfect companion, and handling Rishi and her whole family with such strength.
