New Delhi: Ever since its release last Thursday, Superstar Rajinikanth’s Jailer has become an unstoppable force at the box office.
The much-anticipated movie, which began to slam the Box office right from Day 1 itself, effortlessly crossed the 100 crore mark within 3 days and is now looking forward to a massive jump in earnings on Sunday.
After satisfactorily overpowering its competitors from Bollywood Gadar 2 and OMG 2, Jailer is now heading towards achieving colossal figures at the box office and its early trends for Sunday tell us the same.
Jailer’s Box Office Journey
Jailer started off like a monster at the box office and garnered a handsome Rs 49 crore on its opening day. While the movie’s collection significantly came down to a disappointing figure of Rs 25 crore on Friday, it rose again and minted Rs 34 crore on its first Saturday. With that, Thalaiva’s actioner breached the 100 crore mark in merely 3 days with its total net collection (India) standing tall at Rs. 108.75 crore.
Meanwhile, the movie also did exceptionally well in foreign markets and minted approximately Rs 95 crores within its first three days. This means that the movie has walked past the glorious mark of Rs 200 crores worldwide with its total collection (India+ overseas) standing at Rs. 213.75 crores.
Now, with the Sunday effect coming into the picture, Jailer is expected to aim even bigger by zooming past the 250 mark worldwide and beating the lifetime collection of a number of Rajnikanth starrer movies’ including Annaatthe, Sivaji: The Boss, Lingaa and Kaala in the following days.
Jailer Day 4 collection prediction
On the 4th day of its box office Journey, Jailor recorded an excellent 69% occupancy for the morning shows. The occupancy is further expected to rise up significantly in its afternoon, evening and night shows and the same is hinting towards a monstrous box office Sunday for the Rajinikanth starrer.
Combining the movie’s swiftly increasing buzz amongst cinephiles with its exceptional morning occupancy figures, it is estimated that the film can clock anything between Rs 36-37 crores on its first Sunday.
