New Delhi: Jailer is finally out in the theatres and Rajnikanth’s inescapable fever is on the rise again.

With Jailer, the undisputed Thaliva of Indian cinema has not just charmed his Indian fans one more time but has also captivated a number of his followers from overseas.

Soon after the morning shows of the mega movie got premiered on about 900+ screens today, fans went gaga to seeing Ranji’s exceptional acting and unmatched stardom on the Big screens and were seen lining up in front of the theatres from as early as 5 am.

While the Indian fans are trying their best to make Rajni’s latest onscreen outing a blockbuster, his Japanese fans are not staying behind either in showcasing their love and support for their favourite actor.

Thaliva’s Japanese admirers

Recently, a video of two diehard Ranji fans from Japan, who travelled 6000 km just to witness Thaliva on the big screens, has surfaced on the internet. Giving yet another proof of Rajnikant’s global stardom, the Japanese couple, which comes from the city of Osaka travelled all the way to Chennai to enjoy the first-day first show of Rajnikanth’s latest actioner.

Thaliva’s Japanese admirer, identified as Yasuda Hidetoshi came this far accompanied by his wife just to sit alongside his Indian friends and watch Rajnikant as Jailer. Reportedly, Hidoshi is not just a fan but also a leader of a 72-year-old superstar’s Japanese fan club.

While having a word with the news agency PTI, Hidoshi also spoke about how excited and eager he has been for Jailor ever since its trailer release. He also gave shockers to everyone by speaking Tamil and telling about his journey from Japan to Chennai.

20 years of fandom

Yasuda turned Rajni’s fan almost 2 decades back in 2002 when he met the superstar for the first time. His second meet-up with the superstar happened in 2014 around the release of Lingaa during which, he told the actor about the massive fan following he enjoys in Japan and even showed him a lot of photographs of his Japanese admirers celebrating the release of his films with enthusiasm and passion.

Besides the exceptional star power of Rajnikanth, the magnum opus’ stellar cast also includes Jackie Shroff, Tamannah Bhatia, Mohanlal, Ramya Krishnan and Vinayakan in pivotal roles.

The movie has received an overwhelmingly positive response from both the crowd and the critics and is on its way to becoming the highest Tamil opener of 2023.
