New Delhi: Following the remarkable success of Pathan, Shah Rukh Khan is all set to rewrite history at the Box Office with his recently released actioner Jawan.
Even prior to hitting the big screens, the Atlee directorial already started smashing records at the ticket window and became India’s first movie to register such high advance sales both in the domestic as well as overseas markets.
Through its advance sales alone, the magnum opus clocked a humongous sum of over ₹40 for its day 1. Its extended weekend collection (first four days) through pre-sales also stands at an impressive total of ₹ 70 crores.
These exceptional and unbelievable advance booking figures of Jawan are not only telling that the movie is headed towards a record-breaking opening day collection but are also hinting toward it becoming one of the highest-grossing Bollywood movies of all time.

As per the data shared by the leading trade website sacnik.com, the Shah Rukh starrer has registered a solid morning occupancy of 46.11% for its early morning shows in the Hindi language.
In its Tamil shows, the movie has seen a decent morning occupancy of 39%, while in Telugu, it has recorded excellent morning occupancy morning occupancy of 63%. These overall occupancy figures are already looking promising and are expected to see a further spike as the day progresses.
Jawan day 1 collection prediction (early estimates)
Considering Jawan’s exceptional advance sales, impressive morning occupancy, and the positive word of mouth it has received from the masses, trade experts are predicting that the film is going have a dreamlike box office run during its first extended weekend and can earn anything between ₹ 250-260 (domestic)by the end of the same.
While Shah Rukh’s previous blockbuster Pathan managed to collect an impressive total of ₹ 54.03 crores (India) on its first day, Jawan is looking all set to zoom past that figure by a significant margin and get a historical opening day of ₹ 73 9 crores (India).
In the overseas market as well, Jawan is expected to wreak havoc by minting a colossal sum of Rs 50 crore which will take its grand total on day 1 to a towering total of ₹ 123 crore. This will make Shah Rukh the only actor in the industry to give 2 back-to-back highest opening grosses in a single year as no other actor has achieved this feat till now.
Jawan beats Pathan on Day 1
Much before its release on the big screens, the Atlee directorial already overshadowed 2023’s highest grosser Pathan by selling over 12.30 lakh tickets for its opening day with ₹32.61 crore gross collection. Pathan, on the other hand, managed to collect ₹32 crore on its day 1 by making sales of around 10.5 lakh tickets through pre-bookings.
Now, with Jawan looking already to create history at the box office by shattering and creating numerous records simultaneously, it will be interesting to see how far the movie goes and where stands by the end of its theatrical run.
