New Delhi: Actor Ranbir Kapoor recently appeared on The Kapil Sharma Show to promote his upcoming film ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’. In a recent clip that surfaced from the show, Ranbir can be seen accepting that he lies to his wife Alia Bhatt. However, he also puts out that he is ‘patnivrata’ (loyal to his wife).
In the episode, host Kapil said that it was believed by our elders that to have peace in the relationship, a husband has to lie a bit to his wife, to which Ranbir interrupted and emphasised ‘a bit’. Kapil then asked if Ranbir faced any situation where he lied to Alia.
Replying to the question, Ranbir said that white lies are a part of their life scale and at times people lie for other person’s good. He added that he has not done anything controversial or bad that he has to hide it from Alia and he is now ‘patnivrata’.
Ranbir, Kapil and comedian Anubhav Singh Bassi shared a laugh after the actor’s reply, while Kapil Sharma said that he is proud of Ranbir for his ‘patnivrata’ remark.
Ranbir Kapoor is busy promoting his film, which also stars Shraddha Kapoor in the lead alongside him. The film revolves around a couple who plays dirty games while they want to get out of the relationship.
The film also features Anubhav Singh Bassi, Dimple Kapadia and Boney Kapoor in pivotal roles. Directed by Luv Ranjan, ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar’ will release in cinemas on March 8.
