New Delhi: Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut will perform the Ravan Dahan at Delhi’s Luv Kush Ramleela Maidan on the occasion of Vijaydashmi. This will be the first time a woman will perform the Ravan Dahan in the National Capital. According to the Ram Leela Committee President Arjun Singh, this decision is taken by the members of the committee in a nod to the Women Reservation Bill which was passed in September. This will be the first time in 50 years, that the woman is chosen to do the Ravan Dahan.

Every year, the Ravan Dahan is performed by some eminent personality. Last year, it was done by the Prabhas, famous Telgu Star and in many occasions it was performed by President of India Ram Nath Kovind along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Apart from them Bollywood actors Ajay Devgan and John Abraham also attended the event.

Actress Kangana Ranaut also shared the News on her Instagram Post. Kangana is currently busy promoting her upcoming film ‘Tejas’ which is scheduled to release on Friday. She is playing the role of an Air Force Pilot in the film.
Kangana Ranaut made her Bollywood debut with the movie Gangster in the year 2006, before that she was doing Modeling Assignments. She also received the Best Debut Female Award for the film. She was also praised for her acting in Fashion, Life in Metro, Who lamhe and Raaz. Her career reached the ladder of success with her film Krrish-3 in the year 2016. After the release of Krrish-3, kangana had given many hit films like Tanu weds Manu, Queen, Manikarnika and Panga.
Kangana also launched her own Production Company Manikarnika Films, and she is directing and Producing for her banner. She also hosted the Reality Show Lock Upp and the received strong viewership. She has two strong upcoming projects in the future, Tejas and Emergency where she is playing the role of Indira Gandhi.
Few people are aware of the fact that the actress struggled to speak English in Bollywood and made strong efforts to fit in. She also shared her personal opinion in an interview in the year 2013 that dealing with rejection became a part of her life since she couldn’t speak English fluently.
