Kangana Ranaut reacts to ‘The Kerala Story’ controversy, says, “If it’s attacking you then you are a terrorist”

The Dhaakad actress addressed the film’s contentious portrayal of ISIS, claiming that individuals who believe that ISIS is not a terrorist organization are terrorists themselves.

New Delhi: Kangana Ranaut, the actress from Bollywood, is the latest star to weigh in on the Kerala Story controversy. The film, which centers on the state’s forcible converting of non-Muslim females, has been charged with “falsely claiming” that 32,000 women were encouraged and engaged in terror operations. Many people questioned its agenda and requested that it should be banned.

The Dhaakad actress addressed the film’s contentious portrayal of ISIS, claiming that individuals who believe that ISIS is not a terrorist organization are terrorists themselves.

Kangana stated in Hindi at an event, “See, I have not watched the film, but a lot has been tried to ban the film.” I read it today and, correct me if I’m wrong, the High Court ruled that the picture could not be prohibited. I believe it just portrays ISIS in a negative manner. Do you agree? If the High Court, the country’s highest authority, says so, they are correct. The Islamic State is a terrorist group. It’s not like I’m labeling them terrorists; our government, the Home Ministry (Ministry of Home Affairs), and other countries have.”

“Agar aap aisa samjhte hai ki woh terrorists organisation nahi hai, toh zaheer si baat hai phir aap bhi terrorist hi hai,” she said. (If you are a terrorist outfit, you are a larger concern than the film).

If, despite its proclamation, you believe ISIS is not a terrorist organisation, you are also a terrorist. Kangana stated this. “I’m talking about those who think it’s attacking them, not ISIS,” she said. “If you believe it is attacking you, you are a terrorist. Maine kuch nahi kaha bhai, ye simple maths hai.”
