New Delhi: Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has announced that she is pushing back the release of her upcoming directorial film Emergency. She informed her fans on X that the team has decided to postpone Emergency to the next year (2024) due to a busy last quarter of this year. Emergency release date postponed

In a surprise announcement, the actor recently disclosed that the team has made the decision to postpone the release date of the film. Initially slated for release on November 24, 2023, the film titled “Emergency” will now be shifted to the following year, 2024. The actor cited the changes in their already packed schedule and the overcrowding of films in the last quarter of 2024 as the primary reasons for this decision. The new release date will be announced in due course, and Kangana Ranaut expressed her gratitude for the fans’ anticipation, curiosity, and excitement for the film. She kindly requested everyone to be patient as they work towards bringing it to the screen.

Kangana Ranaut wrote on twitter,”Dear friends, I have an important announcement to make, Emergency movie is the culmination of my entire life’s learnings and earnings as an artist. Emergency is not just a film for me it’s a test of my worth and character as an individual. Tremendous response that our teaser and other units got from everyone encouraged us all. My heart is full of gratitude and wherever I go people ask me about Emergency’s release date. We have announced Emergency release date as 24th November 2023 but because of all the changes in my back to back releasing films calendar and over packed last quarter of 2024 we have decided to shift Emergency to next year (2024). New release date will be announced soon, please bear with us, your anticipation, curiosity and excitement for the film means a lot Yours truly Kangana Ranaut”

The first teaser for Kangana Ranaut’s new film “Emergency” was released in June. It showed the country in chaos with protesters causing trouble on the streets, depicting a time of emergency. Kangana Ranaut’s voiceover, acting as Indira Gandhi, could be heard saying, “No one can stop me from protecting this country,” as her face appeared on the screen. She also said, “Because India is Indira, and Indira is India!”

Kangana Ranaut revealed that she had mortgaged all her property to make her latest film, which she wrapped up filming earlier this year. She also wrote a lengthy note after completing the film, which she titled “Emergency”. The film, which is written by Ritesh Shah, who also wrote Kangana’s last film “Dhaakad”, will star Kangana Ranaut, Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, Mahima Chaudhry, Satish Kaushik, and Shreyas Talpade in key roles.
