New Delhi: The latest episode of Karan Johar hosted Koffee With Karan 7 featured Akshay Kumar and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The two powerhouses were at their best enjoying the candid moment on the celeb talk show. Both the actors did not disappoint their fans as they took the fiery questions of Karan Johar. Their talks involved both personal as well as professional.
Samantha made her debut in Koffee With Karan this season. Questions regarding her personal life involved that of her divorce with Tollywood actor Naga Chaitanya. When asked about what was the weird rumour she read about herself, Samantha stated, “That I took ₹ 250 crore in alimony.”
“Every morning I woke up waiting for income tax officials to show them there’s nothing. First they made up the story about alimony. Then they realised it doesn’t seem like a believable story,” Samantha stated.
“Then they said there’s a pre-nup, so she can’t ask for alimony,” she added.

While talking about divorce, when Samantha was asked if things were amicable between her and her ex-husband, she stated, “Are there hard feelings like if you put us both in a room, you have to hide sharp objects? Yeah, as of now, yes.”
Sharing her experience, Samantha stated, “It has been hard. But it’s good now. It’s fine. I am stronger than I have ever been.”
Samantha and Naga Chaitanya separated their ways in October last year, after four years of marriage.
The couple took to social media to announce their separation jointly. They urged their well-wishers to give them private space during the hard times. The statement read, “o all our well-wishers. After much deliberation and thought (we) have decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue our own paths. We are fortunate to have a friendship of over a decade that was the very core of our relationship which we believe will always hold a special bond between us. We request our fans, well-wishers and the media to support us during this difficult time and give us the privacy we need to move on. Thanking you for your support.”

In terms of the work front, Samantha has several projects lined up, including Yashoda and Shakuntala. She will also collaborate with Downton Abbey director Philip John in Arrangements Of Love.
Meanwhile, Naga Chaitanya will be seen in Thank You and Laal Singh Chaddha.
