New Delhi: After enjoying a successful theatrical run since its release earlier this year, Priyanka Chopra’s romantic comedy Love Again is now all geared up to entertain the OTTians by arriving on the digital platform. Helmed by a talented director, the film’s story is inspired by A 2016 German movie SMS fur Ditch which is based on a a novel by Sofie Camer.
Love Again Story
The film’s story centres around the concepts of Love, Fate and chances. It showcases Priyanka Chopra in the character of a Big town girl (Mira Rey) who drops a number of romantic texts on her ex-lover’s old forgotten phone number. However, the number, by then, has been reallocated to a Journalist Rob Burns (Sam) who instantly gets captivated by Mira’s beautifully drafted romantic confession notes he has just received from ‘Chance’. Following that, Rob, who is asked to write a profile on megastar Celine Dion, seeks her help to reach out to Maria and make her fall in love with him.
Notably, the movie also features Priyanka Chopra’s husband Nick Jonas in a small but impactful role. Nick is seen in the frame when Mira, in order to get over her heartbreak, sets up a date with Nick who plays the character of her personal trainer (Joel). However, Despite Mira engaging with him in a passionate kiss, the date goes horribly wrong when she gets to know that Joel is only interested in having sex with her. The sudden realisation and Nick’s arrogant behaviour hits her hard and she cancels her cab ride and throws him out of the Taxi.

Speaking about Nick’s Cameo in Love Again, Priyanka told Entertainment Weekly that she was surprised and excited to see him accepting such a role in the movie.
In the same interview, the Citadel actress further recalled the days of the movie’s shoot and revealed that the filmmakers had plans to cast a random actor who would have to lick my face in the movie. However, as it was supposed to be done during COVID-19 times, the actor would also have to quarantine himself in a hotel room for at least two weeks.
Love again OTT release
After amongst 4 months since hitting the big screens, Priyanka’s movie will make its digital debut tomorrow (20th September )by arriving on OTT giant Netflix. However, only the users having a basic subscription will be able to enjoy the film on the said platform.

Written and directed by Jim Strouse, Love Again is produced jointly by Erica Lee, Asil Iwanyk, and Esther Hornstein with a budget of Rs 74 crore. Besides Priyanka and Nick Jonas, the movie In its stellar cast also features actors like Sam Haughan, Celine Dion, Sofia barcley, Lydia West and Russel Tovey in important roles.
It was realsed on the Big screen back in the month of May where it amassed a impressive sum of Rs 105 crore at the Box Office.
