‘Love you forever dad’: KK’s daughter shares heartbreaking note ahead of her father’s funeral

The 53-years-old singer performed at a concert in Kolkata following which he complained of feeling ill and was rushed to the hospital.

New Delhi: The funeral of Krishnakumar Kunnath, popularly known by the stage name KK will be taking place today. Several singers namely Hariharan, Javed Akhtar, Shankar Mahadevan and Shreya Ghoshal amongst others from the industry as well as his fans gathered at his house today morning. Ahead of his funeral, his daughter shared an emotional note about his father.

In her Instagram story, KK’s daughter Taamara shared the details of the singer’s last rites, which were scheduled to take place at 1:00 PM. She also wrote, “Love you forever dad” and added a heart emoticon.

KK was survived by his wife Jyothy Krishna and kids Nakul and Taamara. The 53-years-old singer performed at a concert in Kolkata following which he complained of feeling ill and was rushed to the hospital. However, was declared dead.

According to sources, the singer’s preliminary autopsy report revealed that he might have had underlying heart conditions that caused his sudden death. The report further stated that the iconic singer died of a heart attack but had “myocardial infarction” which might have stopped the pumping of the blood to his heart. If a person has latent heart disease for a long time, he gets myocardial infarction.

The late singer’s wife informed the police that he had pain in his arms and shoulders before coming to Kolkata. The singer also suffered from gastric problems and occasionally took antacids. 

At the beginning of his career, KK sang several jingles for many popular commercials in the Nineties. His debut in the industry was made with his album ‘Pal.’ He sang in several other languages other than Hindi, namely Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi, and Kannada.
