Makers announce release date of Prabhas’ ‘Salaar’, film to clash with Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone’s ‘Fighter’

In the poster, Prabhas is seen holding two machetes, while flaunting four pistols in a war zone.

New Delhi: Prabhas’ most awaited action-thriller has a release date now. As per the announcement made by the makers, the film will release on 28 September 2023. After Rajamouli’s RRR, ‘Salaar’ is expected to be the next big thing in the Telugu cinema.

Apart from the release date, a poster of the film was also released on the internet. In the poster, Prabhas is seen holding two machetes, while flaunting four pistols in a war zone. The poster shows ruins and dead bodies, gripping the audience for a thrilling ride.

The film is helmed by Prashanth Neel, who is known for writing and directing ‘KGF’. ‘Salaar’ stars Shruti Haasan, Abhinay Raj Singh, Jagapathi Babu, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Easwari Rao, along with ‘Rebel Star’ Prabhas playing the role of Salaar.

The music in the film is composed by Ravi Basrur, while the cinematography is done by Bhuvan Gowda. Both the 0ff-camera artists have worked with Prashanth Neel in ‘KGF’ and received a lot of appreciation for their works. The film is produced by Vijay Kiragandur and K.V. Rama Rao under the banner of Hombale Films.

However, the film is set to compete at the box office along with India’s first aerial action film ‘Fighter’. In an announcement made by the makers, ‘Fighter’ will also release on September 28. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film stars Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor in the lead roles. Prabhas’ Bahubali franchise was a major success and was path-defining for upcoming Telugu films. On the other hand, ‘Radhe Shyam’ received an underwhelming response. Meanwhile ‘Salaar’ is expected to do well at the box office but ‘Fighter’ will stand as a challenge to the makers.
